Job summary

Haverty Furniture Companies, Inc. in Tyler, TX is seeking Display/DOT Delivery Assistants who will set up showroom merchandise and deliver furniture to customers’ homes. This role emphasizes customer service, safety, and teamwork while supporting showroom operations.

Responsibilities include moving furniture, assisting on deliveries, and maintaining showrooms and stockrooms; training is provided, with opportunities for advancement within the company.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• No delivery experience required but preferred; training provided.
• Must have a current Driver’s License and have a clean driving record with minimal moving violations.
• Must be willing and able to push, pull, and repeatedly team lift 150 pounds throughout your shift.
• Must be able to achieve DOT Certification (company paid).
• Must be able to pass background requirements, MVR and drug screen including THC testing.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in retail, warehouse, or delivery roles preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Attention to detail, organizational and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and assist on the delivery truck as required
• Knowledge of safety protocols
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends

Responsibilities

• Keep merchandise on the floor in good condition and repair as needed.
• Move and arrange showroom merchandise.
• Assist on delivery trucks or drive Havertys delivery truck.
• Unload furniture and place it in customers' homes.
• Assist with floor moves and new accessories processing.
• Aim lighting on furniture and accessories.
• Place POP material and signs.
• Assist customers with loading merchandise into vehicles.
• Keep showroom clean and stockroom orderly.
• Maintain exits and grounds as required.
