We are currently seeking a Furnace Technician Trainee at our Cudahy, WI facility.

As a Furnace Technician, you will be an integral part of a successful team that is responsible for various furnace testing (i.e. temperature uniformity, system accuracy tests, calibration, and furnace repair).

A successful Furnace Technician Trainee is a problem-solver and strong with troubleshooting, determining corrective actions, and identifying opportunities to enhance production efficiencies without compromising quality. Workplace safety is a core value, and Furnace Technicians play a vital role in our safe operation and processes.

New hire must be able to commit to work on a shift rotation for the first year of training.

Essential Functions:

1. Required to perform furnace adjustments, repair and maintenance, thermocouple hook-up, calibrations, and furnace certification.
2. Must perform furnace calibration, maintenance, etc., on die heater, ovens, box, pusher, car bottom for furnaces, baths/tanks, etc.
3. Required to do adjustment, calibration, and repair to combustion equipment and related equipment such as blowers, fans, piping, valves, regulators, and burners.
4. Capable of lighting furnaces and making proper furnace adjustments for uniformity.
5. Will do bench work and troubleshooting running repairs on all controllers, indicators, meters, potentiometers, various motors, and relays.
6. Will also work on fume scrubbers and work in the Kolene facilities.

Basic Qualifications

1. Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience.
2. Must pass aptitude test.

1. Prior Heat Treat Experience.
2. Technical Equipment Experience.
3. Knowledge of furnace operation, temperature control, and heat treat process.
