Mersen is seeking a reliable Furnace Operator to join our manufacturing team. The role involves safely operating industrial furnaces, controlling temperatures and processing cycles, and ensuring materials meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or furnace operations preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work safely around heat, machinery and industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor industrial furnaces and associated equipment.
• Load and unload materials according to established procedures.
• Set and maintain furnace temperatures, timers, and processing cycles.
• Monitor furnace operation and make adjustments as needed.
• Follow work instructions, production schedules, and process specifications.
• Inspect materials before and after processing to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Record production, temperature, and process information accurately.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
