Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an onsite technician in the US (Clayville, NY) to support furnace and tower system maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives. The role runs on the 4th shift Fri–Sun, 7:00am–7:00pm, with responsibilities spanning PM tasks, LPA assembly, and training new hires.

Requirements include a HS diploma (or GED) and at least 4 years of relevant experience. The position offers competitive benefits and hourly pay around $28, with growth opportunities tied to performance

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the cell’s continuous improvement and all CORE and EH&S initiatives, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
• Successfully perform more complex PM tasks on furnaces and tower systems to include: Internal and external furnace power lead replacement, furnace power port replacement, power lead pass through replacement, V1 valve replacements, and return dump valve replacements.
• Ability to assemble LPA system, and ensure leak free connections during alloy changes.
• Perform on the job training for new hires
• In the absence of team lead, organize teams daily workload to ensure daily production targets are met.
• Refer difficulties to Supervisor or Team Leader.
• May be assigned to tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual skills.
• On occasion you may be required to work hours outside of your typical shift.
• This position is for 4th Shift Friday - Sunday 7:00am - 7:00pm.
