  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Read work orders, follow production drawings, method sheets and procedures to run vacuum furnace cycles.
  • Position and align parts in jigs or fixtures as specified.
  • Join components by staking, resistance, tack, cement, press fits or similar methods.
  • Adjust materials to achieve specified dimensional characteristics.
  • Load/unload furnace, set correct settings and adjust as needed for proper operation.
  • Perform tests and inspections to ensure production specifications are met.
  • Stand, walk, handle, reach, talk and hear during duties; lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for a Furnace Braze Assembler to join the team. This position is responsible for the preparation and assembly of tubes and various metal components for furnace cycles by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reads work orders, follows production drawings, method sheets, and operating procedures to run production volume through vacuum furnace cycles.
  • Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding devices.
  • Stake, resistance, tack, cement, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
  • Adjusts materials from components to achieve specified dimensional characteristics.
  • Loads and unloads furnace, establish correct settings, makes necessary adjustments to insure proper furnace operation.
  • Perform test and inspection to ensure proper production specifications and standards are met.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Consistently, regularly and dependably at work and on time.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations

High School diploma or equivalent GED; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
