Job summary

Corning is seeking development engineers to advance optical component design and cable demarcation points. You will gain expertise in materials, furcation design, and over-molding technologies while reducing manufacturing costs and increasing capacity.

You will work with engineers to define experiments, analyze data, and document results, supporting cross-functional teams across manufacturing and development. Expect travel and collaborative problem solving across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to design new process methods and technologies for fiber breakout points and demarcation points.
• Create operational ranges for experiment-defined parameters.
• Support project teams with deliverables and timelines.
• Engage experts to identify key processing technologies and feasibility.
• Coordinate with plants to ensure manufacturability and initial implementation of new processes.
