Job summary

Magnolia Chapel FH Tuscaloosa is seeking a Part-Time Funeral Assistant/Attendant to support funeral directors and assist with services, transportation, and family care. The role requires evening, weekend, and holiday availability and involves both administrative tasks and hands-on support for dignified removals and service setup.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, basic computer skills, proficiency in MS Office, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to use a computer and type.
Proficient in MS Office suite.
Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Able to lift 50 lbs. and pull/push 200 lbs or more of removals if required.
Able to pass a Background Check.

Responsibilities

Support funeral directors during services and events.
Assist with removals, transport, and preparation of decedents.
Set up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, and keepsakes for services.
Answer phones and perform basic office duties.
Greet families and provide information and assistance as needed.
Drive company vehicles for services and family transportation.
