Carriage Services Inc. is seeking a compassionate Funeral Assistant for Baker Stevens Parramore Funeral Home. This part-time role supports Funeral Directors and helps ensure services run smoothly while exceeding client families' expectations.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, strong communication, empathy, and a professional, caring presence to greet families, coordinate service details, and assist during visitations and memorials.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Demonstrates empathy with client families and their guests in emotionally charged situations.

• Ability to actively respond to the requests of client families and their guests.

Responsibilities

• Greets and directs client families and their guests at the funeral home.
• Escorts families to the correct chapel or parlor where services are held.
• Directs visitors to guest book and memorialization materials as needed.
• Answers questions and assists with the needs of client families, guests, and visitors during visitation and memorialization.
• Represents the business in a professional and caring manner, maintaining a suitable appearance and ethical conduct.
• Receives and places flowers in chapels or parlors.
• Ensures refreshments are available to client families and guests.
• Prepares public spaces for scheduled services; performs other duties as assigned.
