Job summary

Qualifications

• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and payroll software.
• Strong leadership and professional communication skills.
• Knowledge of etiquette for a range of religious/cultural funeral services.
• Licensed Funeral Director in CA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory or management experience in funeral industry preferred.
• Valid state driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to arrangers regarding day-to-day activities and questions.
• Provide training to arrangers on operations, processes and procedures.
• Assist upper management to implement and enforce process and procedures.
• Arrange, conduct and direct bereavement rites in line with company policies.
• Prepare and maintain documents related to services and data entry.
• Assist with obituaries and memorial tributes.
• Collect information and create client family files.
• Coordinate paperwork, answer phones, file and perform data entry.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet guest needs.
• Drive funeral vehicles as needed.
• Ensure adherence to licensing authorities and regulations.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the funeral home manager.
