Job description

Fundraising & Partnerships Manager

Salary: £43,260

Hours: 36 hours (full-time)

Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh with flexible and hybrid working opportunities

Deadline: Monday 16th November (9am)

We are recruiting for a role at the heart of LGBT Health and Wellbeing, leading fundraising and partnerships that support our services and long-term ambitions.

About LGBT Health and Wellbeing

LGBT Health and Wellbeing was established in 2003 to improve the health and wellbeing of LGBTQ+ people across Scotland.

We are a national charity providing support services and community spaces that help people stay well, reduce isolation, and feel more connected.

We are recognised as a trusted and credible voice on LGBTQ+ health and wellbeing, particularly in areas such as mental health, trans wellbeing, and the experiences of LGBTQ+ elders.

At the heart of our work is a simple aim: a Scotland where LGBTQ+ people thrive, no matter who we are

You can read more about our work and impact in our latest Impact Report.

About The Role

We're looking for an experienced fundraiser to help us grow and diversify our income at an important time for LGBT Health and Wellbeing.

Demand for our services continues to grow, whilst the funding environment is becoming increasingly challenging. We have ambitious plans for the future, and building a stronger, more sustainable income base is essential to making those plans a reality.

As our Fundraising and Partnerships Manager, you'll take a hands-on role in securing significant funding, with a particular focus on trusts and foundations and corporate partnerships. You'll build relationships with funders and supporters, identify new opportunities, and develop compelling proposals that help us secure the resources needed to support LGBTQ+ communities across Scotland.

You'll also provide leadership and line management to our Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator, supporting them to grow our individual giving programme and build a stronger base of regular donors.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you'll play an important role in shaping our fundraising approach, taking ownership of income targets, and developing a strong pipeline of opportunities for the future.

About You

We're looking for someone with a proven track record of securing funding and the confidence, creativity, and determination to develop new opportunities.

You’ll be an excellent relationship builder and a credible communicator, able to turn ideas into compelling funding proposals and lasting partnerships. You'll be comfortable taking responsibility for delivering results, balancing longer-term planning with the practical work needed to bring funding in.

Above all, you'll share our commitment to LGBTQ+ equality and be motivated by the opportunity to use your fundraising expertise to make a real difference to people's lives.
