Job description

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Fundraising Manager for a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating meaningful impact in their community. This position is remote, but candidates must live in Houston, TX.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This is an exciting opportunity for a fundraising professional to lead and grow the fundraising efforts in a designated area. The role involves planning and executing signature fundraising events, recruiting and managing volunteers, and driving revenue growth to meet organizational goals. You will collaborate with a passionate team, contribute to community impact, and engage with donors and volunteers to foster long-term relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Plan, manage, and execute fundraising events, ensuring revenue goals are met.
  2. Recruit, train, and lead volunteers and committees for successful event execution.
  3. Cultivate relationships with key fundraisers, sponsors, and community partners to drive engagement and sponsorship.
  4. Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring expenses are within the approved limits.
  5. Travel regularly within the assigned area and attend events, meetings, and an annual chapter staff meeting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Proven success in planning and executing fundraising events, driving revenue growth.
  2. Experience with volunteer recruitment and management, including event committees.
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors, sponsors, and volunteers.
  4. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail.
  5. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to support events and meetings.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The position offers a competitive annual salary between $60,000 and $75,000, along with 22 days of Paid Time Off in the first year, with additional PTO days starting in the second year. A company-sponsored Medical Employee Reimbursement Plan (MERP) is included, and after two years, employees receive a 10% employer contribution to their retirement plan. To support work-life balance, flexible Summer Fridays are offered, and there are 11 company holidays throughout the year.
