Job summary

HSHS Medical Group is seeking a Foundation Specialist to create and execute fundraising strategies for annual donations and events across one or more ministry foundations. The role handles donor inquiries, mailings, and campaigns, and supports online giving and stewardship activities.

Responsibilities include coordinating events, managing grateful patient programs, and collaborating with hospital leadership across Illinois and Wisconsin to advance fundraising outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, philanthropy, or related field required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus five years’ fundraising/communications experience may substitute for a degree.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute fundraising strategies for annual donations and events.
  • Manage donor inquiries, mailings, and prospect communications.
  • Oversee online giving, stewardship mailings, memorials, and grateful patient initiatives.
  • Coordinate fundraising events and coordinate with hospital foundations and departments.
