The International Association for Public Participation seeks a highly experienced fundraising consultant to enhance its capacity and develop a strategic sustainability plan. This role focuses on diversifying revenue sources and fostering relationships with stakeholders globally.
IAP2 is the preeminent international organization advancing the practice of public participation and community engagement. IAP2 views public participation as any process that involves the public in problem solving or decision making and uses public input to make inclusive and sustainable decisions.
Since founding in 1990, our mission is to promote and advance public participation / community engagement globally through targeted initiatives that are guided by culturally adaptive standards of practice and core values. IAP2 is currently undergoing a process of organizational review and change. IAP2 believes that to achieve our mission additional resources are needed to build capacity, fund strategic initiatives and expand our impact globally.
Against this background IAP2 seeks the services of a highly experienced development and fundraising consultant to help build the organization’s fundraising capacity and develop a strategic fundraising and sustainability plan to diversify and expand revenue sources. To accomplish the scope of work, we are seeking proposals from a Consultant who has:
Demonstrated experience with nonprofit fundraising in an international context
Success with creative revenue development strategies and a variety of funding sources including endowment/major gift fundraising
Experience working with an organization with limited fundraising experience
Track record of developing and maintaining strong working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders across time zones, languages and cultures
