Job summary

New Horizons Ministries is seeking a Development Associate to design, launch, and own campaigns that connect the community to the needs of vulnerable populations we serve. You will work across departments and with young adults to steward donor relations and streamline processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in fundraising, communications, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, fundraising, or related field; or relevant equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years of Previous database management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Strong writing and proofreading skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, launch and own campaigns to connect with the community’s needs.
• Maintain fundraising calendar with campaign and task dates.
• Support the Director of Development in stewardship communications for donors, corporate supporters, and grantors.
• Manage grant calendar and coordinate grant writing and submittal.
• Maintain and engage with a mid-level donor portfolio; cultivate new donor relationships.
• Assist planning and execution of annual fundraising events.
