About the Position
The African Esophageal Cancer Consortium (AfrECC) Foundation is a 501c3 actively seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our Board. This is a unique opportunity to use your fundraising expertise, vast network of potential donors, and strategic planning skills to make a tangible difference in the fight against esophageal cancer in Africa. This is an unpaid, volunteer position.
About Us
The AfrECC Foundation is a U.S.-based non-profit organization committed to reducing the burden of esophageal cancer in Africa through clinical care, education, prevention, and public awareness. Since 2016, AfrECC has been collaborating with ~14 medical centers across Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia, where the incidence of esophageal squamous cell cancer (ESCC) is alarmingly high.

Recent engagements included a visit to Malawi led by the Malawian Ambassador to the U.S. for an audience with the President of Malawi and an upcoming delegation to Uganda.
