Belltower Fund Group, a division of AngelList, seeks a Fund Operations Senior Associate to manage distributions across a portfolio of funds. You will work within the Distributions Team to ensure accurate, timely distribution events and maintain strong controls from initiation to completion.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, private funds, fund administration, or investment operations.
• Experience supporting middle- or back-office operations for private investment funds with distributions, capital activity, treasury/payments, investor operations, or fund lifecycle activities.
• Understanding of private fund structures and the relationship between funds, investors, portfolio investments, and fund administrators.
• Experience in high-volume, detail-oriented operational processes where accuracy and deadlines matter.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to review financial/operational data for inconsistencies and resolutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to align stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review distribution requests and documentation for accuracy and readiness before payments.
• Coordinate cash distributions and wire workflows, approvals, and payment tracking.
• Review investor and fund data for completeness and consistency across systems.
• Investigate discrepancies, escalate issues, and drive resolution.
• Maintain audit trails supporting distributions calculations and approvals.
• Identify recurring issues and drive process improvements for speed and accuracy.
• Contribute to SOPs, controls, and documentation for scaling the Distributions Team.
• Evaluate workflows with an automation-first mindset and explore AI-based improvements.
