Job summary

Belltower Funds is seeking a Fund Migrations Senior Associate to oversee onboarding and migrations of funds to the AngelList platform. You will manage data validation, operational setup, and client communications to ensure smooth transitions.

Reporting to the Fund Accounting Manager, you will lead migration specialists, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and identify automation opportunities to improve efficiencies and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in public accounting or fund administration.
• Experience with complex client implementations and multi-stakeholder projects.
• Strong knowledge of alternative investments and ASC 946.
• CPA license preferred but not essential.

Belltower provides fund administration services to the venture space. Our coverage spans syndicates, venture funds, and first-of-their-kind rolling funds. Our full-service fund management offering streamlines the complexity of running a fund by integrating financial reporting, tax, compliance, portfolio management, and other services that managers typically have to cobble together from multiple vendors. About the Role:

The Fund Migrations Senior Associate is a critical member of the team responsible for overseeing the onboarding and migration of funds to the AngelList platform. This team member will execute the transition of funds from incumbent administrators, including data validation, operational setup, stakeholder communication, and post-conversion stabilization.

The Fund Migrations Senior Associate will report to the Fund Accounting Manager and collaborate with other fund accounting team members and cross-functional operations teams. You will lead work with other migration specialists while serving as a key contact for clients during the administrator transition process. The role will involve interfacing directly with fund leads and their teams, incumbent administrators, and other parties.

You Will:

• Execute end-to-end fund migrations and the transition of non-registered funds from incumbent administrators to the AngelList platform.
• Serve as a key team member for multiple concurrent migration engagements, following project plans, tracking milestones, and ensuring timely, successful implementation.
• Review and validate migrated data, including investor capital accounts, general ledger balances, investment portfolios, commitments, capital activity, waterfall calculations, and historical financial information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Partner directly with clients and external stakeholders to gather information, manage expectations, resolve issues, and provide regular project updates throughout the migration process.
• Manage, mentor, and develop offshore fund migration specialists by providing technical guidance, coaching, performance management, and opportunities for professional growth.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation by evaluating existing workflows, recommending system enhancements, and implementing solutions that reduce manual effort and improve the client onboarding experience.
• Drive exceptional client outcomes by ensuring migrations are completed on schedule, with a high degree of accuracy, strong communication, and minimal operational disruption, while building long-term trusted relationships with investment manager clients.
• Look at existing processes and ask whether AI and automation could do them better.

You Have:

• 3+ years of experience in public accounting, fund administration, fund accounting, investment operations, or a related financial services environment, with experience supporting alternative investment funds. CPA license is preferred but not essential.
• Experience working on complex client implementations, fund onboardings, or large-scale operational initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of alternative investment structures, including private equity, venture capital, and/or digital asset funds, with a solid understanding of investment company accounting (ASC 946).
• Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines, manage multiple concurrent projects, mitigate risks, and consistently deliver high-quality results.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships with clients, senior leadership, external service providers, and cross-functional internal teams.
• An instinct to question existing processes and use AI and automation to build better ones.
