Job description

The UA Foundation Advancement Operations team supports the systems, policies, and processes that help charitable gifts make a lasting impact across the University of Alaska. Our work connects fundraising, financial administration, donor stewardship, and university operations, helping ensure that gifts are managed accurately, responsibly, and in keeping with donor intent.

As our Fund Manager, you will help ensure that private gifts to the University of Alaska are managed responsibly and used in accordance with donor intent. Working with the UA Foundation and university development offices across the UA system, you will coordinate the creation and administration of fund agreements, provide financial information and guidance to university departments, and help colleagues navigate fund management policies and processes. You will also support donor stewardship, develop training resources, and contribute to projects that strengthen how the UA Foundation manages and stewards charitable gifts.

We’re looking for a curious, organized problem-solver who enjoys untangling complex details, connecting the dots, and finding practical solutions. You’ll bring analytical thinking, sound judgment, and a strong eye for accuracy to work involving fund agreements, financial information, policies, databases, and spreadsheets. Just as important, you enjoy working with people! You can turn complicated requirements into clear, helpful guidance, build positive relationships, and balance competing priorities without losing sight of the details. We value someone who takes initiative, collaborates generously, knows when to ask questions, and is excited to make processes better and help colleagues succeed.

This position is for in-state applicants only; Anchorage and Fairbanks are preferred. Hybrid work is permitted.
