Job summary

Community Health Plan of Washington seeks a Staff Accountant II to manage off-system BH and BHSO funds analysis, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and general finance support. You will prepare analytics, perform GL entries, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The role requires GAAP knowledge, 4+ years accounting or a Bachelor's degree, and proficiency in ACCPAC, Oracle, Crystal Reports, and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in accounting/finance or a 4-year Bachelor’s degree
• Experience with ACCPAC, Oracle or Crystal Reports for financial reporting
• 2 years of experience creating reports and data
• Advanced knowledge of Excel including pivot tables, lookups and conditional logic

Responsibilities

• Analyze BHSO funds, requests for check issuance and invoices; maintain Accounts Receivable
• Provide decision support and recommendations to management through expenditure trend analysis
• Track IMC BH and BHSO funds and claims, including accruals and payables
• Prepare and review analytics and management reporting with business partners
• Provide data for financial statements, accruals, bids and budgets
• Invoicing vendor accounts payable transactions and GL entries; reconcile accounts
• Coordinate 1099 issuance and reconciliation
• Maintain fixed assets inventory and depreciation schedules
• Maintain unclaimed property accounts and issue letters for outstanding checks
• Provide general administrative support to the Finance Department; maintain accounting files and accruals
• Review and improve Finance processes and policies; support Finance projects
