Job summary

PDA is seeking a Senior Accountant in Seattle, WA to join the Finance Team. This role leads complex accounting duties, ensures grant and contract compliance, and maintains the general ledger with strong attention to accuracy and audit readiness.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the candidate will support budget processes, monthly closings, and financial reporting while upholding internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, nonprofit setting preferred.
• Preferred Medicaid billing and compliance experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex accounting duties and ensure accurate general ledger maintenance.
• Allocate expenses to grants and contracts per requirements and compliance.
• Prepare and maintain the general ledger and program allocations.
• Review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor transactions, maintain journals, and support audit processes.
• Assist with budget development, monitoring, and reporting.
