Job summary

Madison-Davis, LLC, a growing private equity and alternative investment firm with a Miami presence, seeks an Assistant Vice President to own fund accounting oversight and investor reporting. You will review NAVs, reconciliations, and fee calculations, and coordinate with administrators to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years in private equity or hedge fund accounting; CPA/CFA preferred.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of private equity or hedge fund accounting experience.
• CPA and/or CFA preferred but not required.
• Experience with fund structures and general ledger systems.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly estimated and final fund NAVs.
• Review NAV reconciliations with third-party administrators and custodians.
• Review and reconcile management and performance fee calculations.
• Review and reconcile investor capital statements prepared by administrators.
• Monitor fund foreign currency exposure and coordinate hedging.
• Review customized investor reporting, including time-weighted returns and IRRs.
• Review capital call and distribution calculations and related investor notices.
• Review monthly revenue reporting and support projections.
• Oversee fund administrators and other service providers.
• Review fund legal documents for accounting and operational considerations.
• Respond to investor requests and support junior team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and controls through technology.

The Fund Finance team supports a mix of private equity, hedge fund, and credit strategies, and is seeking an Assistant Vice President to take ownership of fund accounting oversight and investor reporting.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly estimated and final fund NAVs
• Review and analyze NAV reconciliations with third-party administrators and custodians
• Review and reconcile management and performance fee calculations
• Review and reconcile investor capital statements prepared by administrators
• Monitor fund foreign currency exposure and coordinate hedging
• Review customized investor reporting, including time-weighted returns and IRRs
• Review capital call and distribution calculations and related investor notices
• Review monthly revenue reporting and support projections
• Oversee fund administrators and other service providers
• Review fund legal documents for accounting and operational considerations

• Strong understanding of general ledger data; accounting systems experience strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
