Job summary

Job description

A leading alternative investment firm is seeking an experienced fund finance professional to join its hedge fund accounting and reporting team. This role is suited to a strong accounting professional with a background in Big 4 public accounting, private fund accounting, or a combination of public and private accounting experience, ideally with exposure to hedge funds, private equity, funds of funds, or private credit.

The successful candidate will help oversee fund NAVs, reconciliations, fee calculations, investor reporting, and fund financial information while partnering with third-party administrators, custodians, and internal investment and operations teams. The position offers broad exposure to alternative investment products, complex fund structures, and senior-level fund finance responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Review monthly estimated and final fund net asset values (NAVs).
• Analyze NAV reconciliations with third-party administrators and custodians.
• Review management fee and performance fee calculations.
• Reconcile investor capital statements and related fund reporting.
• Review foreign currency exposure and coordinate hedging activities.
• Oversee customized client reporting, including time-weighted returns and internal rates of return (IRRs).
• Review monthly revenue reporting and support projections.
• Assist with launching new funds, products, and investment structures.
• Review cash flow analyses supporting investment and portfolio decisions.
• Review capital call and distribution calculations, including investor notices.
• Coordinate with offshore teams and external service providers on fund accounting deliverables.
• Partner with Middle Office, Pricing, Financial Reporting, Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory Reporting teams.
• Improve accounting processes, reporting efficiencies, and operational controls through technology and outsourced solutions.
• Support the presentation of fund data in audited financial statements and regulatory filings.
• Review fund legal documents to assess accounting and reporting implications.
