Job summary

Alter Domus is seeking a seasoned professional to lead Client Delivery teams in our Chicago-area office. You will supervise and mentor Fund Accountants, ensuring timely delivery of financial reporting, investor communications, and audit readiness.

You will oversee complex accounting processes, review statements, and respond to auditor inquiries while upholding internal controls and client agreements. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical capabilities are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or related field).
• Credit Accounting experience preferred.
• 5+ years of professional experience.
• In-depth understanding of investments within assigned fund(s).
• Broad market knowledge.
• Ability to manage 2 staff members with potential for growth.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to perform multiple projects, navigate through unexpected challenges, and bring about viable solutions that provide the best results.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee Client Delivery teams and projects.
• Mentor and train Fund Accountants; provide direction to prioritize work.
• Administer, report, review, and understand industry standards; respond to auditor queries.
• Increase communication with clients and investors; prepare/review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Calculate and review performance returns and support cash distributions for clients.
• Review financial records and statements for audit readiness and accuracy.
• Sign off as reviewer on SOC1 checklist and assist with SOC external audits.
• Ensure compliance with internal audit procedures and client agreements.
• Develop leadership by leading projects and contributing expert input.
• Demonstrate understanding of governing agreements between Alter Domus, clients and investors.
• Review documents to ensure compliance with client agreements.
