Job summary

Coda Search is recruiting for a global asset management client in Stamford, CT to hire a Fund Controller responsible for monthly financial reporting, NAV packages, and coordinating with the 3rd party administrator and investment team. The role oversees fund cash flow, treasury, and annual audit processes.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting, with Big 4 experience a plus, and has hedge fund, asset management, or private equity exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Big 4 accounting experience is a huge plus
• Prior hedge fund, asset management, or private equity experience preferred
• Strong system and problem-solving skills required

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements and investor reporting
• Develop financial models to forecast fund performance and returns
• Collaborate with investment team on acquisitions
• Assist in preparing investor presentations and meetings
• Manage fund cash flow, including capital calls and distributions
• Oversee fund accounts, bank relationships, and treasury operations
• Ensure proper capital allocation and efficient resource use
• Provide financial analysis to guide investment strategy and operations
• Review third-party administrator and reconcile discrepancies
• Lead annual audit with external auditors
