Job summary

Standish Management, LLC, a provider of specialized fund administration services for private equity funds, seeks a Fund Controller in Portland to lead financial reporting and administration for clients. The role entails overseeing fund accounting, capital account maintenance, and financial statement prep, in partnership with the Engagement Manager.

Travel to client sites is possible; CPA is a plus and 2+ years of public accounting experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics required.
• 2+ years of public accounting experience or equivalent.
• CPA is a plus.
• Private Equity/VC experience and knowledge of Partnership Accounting preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word & Outlook.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of the audit and tax preparation process.
• Assisting with information for Capital Calls, Distributions and Allocations to investors.
• Management and tracking of portfolio company financings.
• Cash flow management and forecasting.
• Assisting with Quarterly Reporting to Limited Partners.
• Maintenance of investor information in third party software systems.
• Some local travel to Client sites as needed.
