Job summary

Standish Management in Chicago, IL seeks a Fund Controller to lead financial reporting and administration for private equity clients, including capital calls, distributions, and allocations. The role collaborates with the Engagement Manager to ensure accurate fund accounting and statement preparation.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting/Economics, 2+ years of public accounting, and proficiency in Excel/Word/Outlook; CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics or related field required.
• 2+ years of public accounting experience or equivalent.
• CPA is a plus.
• Previous Private Equity/VC experience and knowledge of Partnership Accounting preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word & Outlook.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of the audit and tax preparation process.
• Assisting with the preparation of information for Capital Calls, Distributions and Allocations to investors.
• Detailed management and tracking of portfolio company financings.
• Cash flow management and forecasting.
• Assisting with Quarterly Reporting to the Limited Partners.
• Maintenance of investor information in third party software systems.
• Some local travel to Client sites as needed.
