Job summary

Standish Management, LLC is seeking a Fund Controller in New York to lead fund accounting, capital account maintenance and financial statement preparation for clients in private equity. You will supervise audit/tax, assist with capital calls and distributions, manage portfolio financings and forecast cash flow.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics and 2+ years in public accounting, with CPA a plus; PE/VC experience and strong Excel/Office skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics required.
• 2+ years of public accounting experience or equivalent.
• CPA is a plus.
• Previous Private Equity/VC experience and knowledge of Partnership Accounting preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word & Outlook.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of the audit and tax preparation process.
• Assisting with the preparation of information for Capital Calls, Distributions and Allocations to investors.
• Detailed management and tracking of portfolio company financings.
• Cash flow management and forecasting.
• Assisting with the Quarterly Reporting to the Limited Partners.
• Maintenance of investor information in third party software systems.
• Some local travel to Client sites as needed.
