Job summary

Coda Search is assisting a premier alternative investment manager in recruiting a Controller for one of its Funds. The role sits on a dynamic Finance & Accounting team and reports to the CFO.

The Controller will handle financial accounting, control and reporting, investor reporting, tax structuring and compliance, operations, and oversight of third-party service providers for multiple fund entities. Qualifications

• 6+ years in corporate finance/FP&A.
• College degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint; advanced Access is a plus.
• Excellent communication and team orientation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quarterly and annual workpapers and financial statements.
• Prepare cash forecasting and expense management.
• Close monthly books and financial reporting.
• Identify process improvements to reduce errors and improve timeliness.
• Oversee monthly accruals, expenses and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review investor allocations and fund administrator reporting.
• Contribute to budgets and forecasts.
• Support CFO and Corporate Finance with quarterly deliverables.
• Participate in monthly close processes including accruals and reclassifications.
• Manage fund cash balances and capital calls, distributions, receivables and payables.
