Job summary

Kforce Inc. is seeking a Fund Controller in the Saint Louis, MO area to join our client’s team in an on-site capacity.

You will manage fund accounting records, capital calls and distributions, and oversee investor reporting and financial statements. You will collaborate with third‑party administrators, drive process improvements using AI-enabled tools, and support forecasting, audits, and tax reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or related field
• 4+ years of accounting, finance or fund accounting experience
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications
• Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools to improve processes

• Identify opportunities to improve fund accounting and reporting processes through automation and AI-enabled tools
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency, data accuracy and reporting capabilities
• Contribute to special projects and continuous process improvement initiatives in a collaborative, fast paced environment

Responsibilities

Kforce is partnering with a client in the Saint Louis, MO area to identify a Fund Controller to join their team. This on-site position offers the opportunity to play a key role in fund operations and financial reporting while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

• Maintain fund accounting records, reconciliations, and supporting schedules across multiple investment entities
• Manage capital calls, distributions, cash activity, management fees, and partner allocations
• Prepare quarterly financial statements, investor reporting, and capital account statements
• Support forecasting, audits, tax reporting, and fund governance documentation
• Oversee relationships with third-party fund administrators and ensure compliance with fund operations
• Identify opportunities to improve fund accounting and reporting processes through automation and AI-enabled tools while maintaining strong internal controls
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency, data accuracy, and reporting capabilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• 4+ years of accounting, finance, or fund accounting experience; Public accounting, private equity, or financial services experience preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
• Experience leveraging technology and AI-enabled tools to improve processes, with a continuous improvement mindset
• Self-motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
