Job summary

Invesco in Atlanta seeks a Senior Principal, Fund Assurance to provide independent oversight across mutual funds, ETFs, and complex products. You will bolster governance, risk monitoring, and third-party administrator oversight while driving analytics, automation, and data-driven decision making.

The role demands strong accounting and regulatory expertise, with a track record in NAV and pricing, and the ability to influence outcomes through collaboration.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of progressive fund accounting, fund oversight, or assurance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or CFA preferred.
• Strong GAAP, regulatory, and risk-management knowledge.
• Experience with audits, SOX controls, and regulatory examinations.
• Ability to lead without direct line management through technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex fund accounting matters across mutual funds, ETFs, and alternatives.
• Assess accounting, operations, and controls per GAAP and policy.
• Ensure SQP tools (Issue log, KPIs, Sentiment indexes) are executed.
• Collaborate with Fund Assurance leadership and stakeholders to improve oversight.
• Advise on accounting for derivatives, private or illiquid investments.
• Drive process improvements via automation and data analytics.
• Support fund launches, reorganizations, and mergers with control design.
• Review NAVs, financial statements, and regulatory filings for accuracy.
• Engage with auditors, TPAs, custodians, and data teams on issues.
• Identify root causes and remediate control gaps across the platform.
• Mentor and influence team members through technical leadership.
