Job summary

Northern Trust, a global leader in wealth management, hedge fund services, and asset administration, seeks a Consultant for IPS. The role centers on reconciliations across securities and cash, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting for complex funds.

You will coordinate with Shared Service Groups, resolve breaks, and support process improvements with IT to boost efficiency while maintaining high data integrity. 2–3 years' experience and a degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• A College or University degree and 2-3 years of work experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
• In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is preferred
• Highly flexible and adaptable to change
• Able to work in tight SLA schedules and able to manage multiple tasks without losing focus
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
• Python knowledge preferred
• Project management experience
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team environment

Responsibilities

• Daily reconciliation of transactions and positions for Equities, Futures, Fixed Income Products, and OTC products.
• Analyze and understand security and cash position differences related to reconciliations.
• Engage with internal Shared Service Groups, Client and Admin streams to resolve breaks and provide updates.
• Perform daily review of reconciliations and execute controls.
• Assist with projects to increase efficiency and improve control environment.
• Collaborate with in-house technology resources to solve problems and improve processes.
• Work with extended teams across locations to maintain data integrity.
