Job summary

State Street is seeking an Associate 2 in Fund Accounting & Administration in Princeton, NJ. The role involves engaging with clients and internal teams to resolve inquiries, process comments, and prepare monthly NAV in line with SLAs.

You will also assist offshore teams reviewing monthly and quarterly reporting per GAAP. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 1–2 years in fund accounting, with proficiency in Fund Accounting and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in alternative/fund accounting or related experience
• Knowledge and proficiency with Fund Accounting
• Excellent computer knowledge and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Resolve routine problems using own initiative and exceed complex issues as needed
• Conduct self-review for completed activities and review completed activities for A1s
• Maintain relevant documentation for assigned activities
• Perform research and resolution on exception items; elevate unresolved issues to management as needed
• Proactively share new ideas to support process improvement and changes to team processes
• Deliver services in accordance with SOPs and ensure work meets internal standards
• Primary operational day-to-day contact for clients as required
• Manage own development by engaging in the PPR process and attending training
• Identify and report risk and compliance issues, breaches and suspicious activities
• Perform other duties as required
