Job summary

Stone Coast Fund Services is seeking a Fund Accounting Account Manager for Portland, ME, offering a flexible schedule with potential full-time 12:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. EST or part-time options. The role requires 3+ years in fund accounting, NAV accuracy, and strong Excel skills.

The ideal candidate will manage complex fund activities, reporting, and client communications while mentoring junior staff, with remote/hybrid options available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in fund accounting for hedge funds
• Proficiency acting as primary liaison with fund managers and service providers
• Familiarity with hedge fund investments and portfolio/investor accounting systems
• Experience with internal control procedures and financial reporting

Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile portfolio and fund activity for assigned clients
• Calculate NAV per industry standards and internal procedures
• Allocate P&L to investors incl. management/performance fees
• Process fund payments and ensure timely cash wire requests
• Generate and deliver fund/investor reports to managers/investors
• Prepare materials for board meetings, financial statements, audits
• Mentor and train fund accountants
• Ensure tasks are completed accurately and timely
