Job summary

Oliver James Group is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to oversee client relationships and manage day-to-day fund accounting operations. The role leads teams responsible for delivering accurate financial statements and capital account upkeep.

Hybrid role based in DE/SE/PO with opportunities for professional development and cross-team coaching. CPA preferred and Excel mastery highly valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required (Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred)
5+ years of audit or tax public accounting (asset management) or fund accounting experience
Knowledge of partnership accounting and private markets structures preferred
CPA qualification preferred
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
Familiarity with QuickBooks is advantageous

Responsibilities

Act as the point of contact for clients, providing consistent updates of fund activity and day-to-day operational requirements.
Manage core fund accounting activities, including the upkeep of capital accounts and the production of financial statements.
Coordinate audit and tax reporting activities, working closely with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure timely and accurate completion.
Provide guidance and support to team members through coaching, training, and ongoing professional development.
