Job summary

Formulary Financial in New York is seeking a senior fund accounting professional to oversee client deliverables and complex distributions within a hybrid or remote setup. You will partner with product and compliance teams to drive automation while ensuring strict regulatory adherence.

The role requires 3–7 years in VC/PE fund accounting, a leadership background, and strong GAAP and reporting knowledge. Hybrid NY office option with remote work available.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of fund accounting experience in venture capital, growth equity or private equity asset classes.
• Demonstrated impact at a leading fund administration services firm.
• 2+ years of experience hiring, training and managing a team of fund accountants.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• A keen interest in using AI and machine learning to solve complex problems.
• Deep, practical experience with the investment lifecycle for VC, growth equity and PE assets.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end oversight and execution of all client deliverables and communications.
• Generate accurate fund administration deliverables and oversee outputs by team members.
• Identify, propose and help launch automation and systemization improvements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, audit, and internal standards.
• Generate and review waterfall distributions and capital calls per LPAs.
• Manage and mentor the staff accountant and project teams.
