Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of progressive fund accounting, partnership accounting, or investment management accounting experience.
• Experience supporting venture capital, private equity, hedge fund, fund administration, or other alternative investment funds.
• Strong understanding of capital calls, distributions, management fees, partnership accounting, investor reporting, and fund financial statements.
• Experience working with third-party fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with fund accounting systems and reporting tools.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day fund accounting process across venture capital and private equity funds.
• Oversee quarterly and annual fund closes, including review of NAVs, financial statements, capital account statements, and supporting schedules.
• Review capital calls, distributions, management fees, expense allocations, investment activity, and carried interest calculations.
• Partner with third-party fund administrators to ensure accurate, complete, and timely reporting.
• Prepare and review investor reporting, capital account statements, and other limited partner deliverables.
• Coordinate audit and tax processes with external auditors, tax advisors, and fund administrators.
• Support cash management, fund liquidity planning, and capital activity.
• Assist with portfolio investment reporting and ad hoc analysis for internal stakeholders.
• Help improve fund accounting processes, controls, reporting, and documentation as the platform grows.
• Work closely with investment, legal, operations, and investor relations teams.
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff, as applicable.
