Job summary

Base, a next‑generation power company, is seeking a Fund Accountant to own the fund-level accounting and reporting for its tax equity funds in a fast‑growing environment in Austin, TX. You’ll lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, ensuring accurate results and alignment with corporate books in NetSuite, while building scalable processes and controls.

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years in fund or tax equity accounting.
• Knowledge of capital accounts, HLBV, allocations, and waterfalls.
• Experience with monthly close and audit readiness.
• Excel proficiency; familiarity with NetSuite and BigQuery.
• Ability to create scalable accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Own all fund-level accounting and financial reporting for Base's tax equity funds, including capital accounts, HLBV, allocations, and waterfall.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; reconcile fund-level and corporate books in NetSuite.
• Prepare audit-ready support: K-1 schedules, capital statements, workpapers, auditor inquiries.
• Design and implement fund accounting infrastructure: chart of accounts, close procedures, controls.
• Account for capital activity, fundings, distributions, fees; align models with the GL.
• Collaborate with asset management, capital markets, and tax counsel on fund structuring from day one.
• Identify manual processes to automate as fund count grows.
