Green Lion Search Group is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager for a rapidly expanding energy company with strong financial backing. You will build the accounting framework for tax equity partnerships and take ownership of reporting, close, and investor support.

You’ll collaborate with corporate accounting, capital markets, and asset management, shaping the function as new funds and financing structures are introduced. Equity participation is part of the package.

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years in fund, partnership, or tax equity accounting.
• Experience managing closes and supporting audits.
• Strong Excel skills; comfortable with NetSuite and BigQuery.

Responsabilités

• Manage partnership accounting: capital accounts, HLBV, allocations, and waterfalls.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual fund closes and reconcile with the general ledger.
• Account for investor contributions, distributions, management fees, and other fund activity.
• Prepare financial reporting, audit workpapers, capital account statements, and K-1 schedules.
• Establish chart of accounts, policies, controls, and close procedures; drive automation as funds grow.
• Partner with internal teams and advisers for new funds.

Green Lion Search Group is recruiting a Fund Accounting Manager for a rapidly expanding energy company with substantial financial backing. The company uses tax equity partnerships to finance its growing asset portfolio and is establishing a dedicated fund accounting function.

You’ll build the accounting framework for these partnerships and take ownership of reporting, close, and investor support. Working closely with corporate accounting, capital markets, and asset management, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the function as additional funds and financing structures are introduced. The package includes meaningful equity participation in the company’s growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage partnership accounting, including capital accounts, HLBV calculations, income and loss allocations, and distribution waterfalls.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual fund closes and reconcile results with the corporate general ledger.
• Account for investor contributions, distributions, management fees, and other fund activity.
• Prepare financial reporting, audit workpapers, capital account statements, and supporting schedules for K-1s.
• Establish the chart of accounts, accounting policies, controls, and close procedures, improving automation as the portfolio grows.
• Partner with internal teams and external advisers to address accounting requirements for new funds.

Ideal Background

• 3–6+ years in fund, partnership, or tax equity accounting at a sponsor, fund administrator, financial institution, or accounting firm.
• Working knowledge of HLBV, partnership allocations, capital accounts, and waterfall structures.
• Experience independently managing a close and supporting financial statement audits.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort learning systems such as NetSuite and BigQuery.
• Renewable energy or tax equity experience is a strong plus.
