Job summary

Jobtailor in New York is seeking a senior leader to define and execute the strategic vision for the Security Pricing function, overseeing valuation governance, pricing methodologies, and market data strategies across supported asset classes. You will lead daily pricing operations for equities, fixed income, ETFs, derivatives, FX, and alternatives, ensuring NAV accuracy for daily production and reporting.

• Extensive experience in security pricing, valuation governance, and NAV production.
• Deep knowledge of fixed income valuation, equity pricing, and fair value methodologies.
• Familiarity with major pricing providers (ICE, Bloomberg, S&P Global, LSEG).
• Understanding of investment funds accounting and regulatory frameworks.

Job description

• Define and execute the strategic vision for the Security Pricing function
• Provide leadership on valuation governance, pricing methodologies, and market data strategies across supported asset classes
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex pricing exceptions, valuation disputes, and market events
• Represent Security Pricing in governance forums, client meetings, audits, and senior management discussions
• Oversee daily pricing operations for equities, fixed income securities, bank loans, ETFs, derivatives, foreign exchange instruments, and alternative/private market investments
• Ensure accurate and timely security valuation supporting daily NAV production and financial reporting
• Lead oversight of pricing sources, valuation models, and fair value methodologies
• Govern pricing exception processes, tolerance reviews, and escalation procedures
• Maintain pricing control framework and oversee fair value committees, pricing committees, vendor oversight programs, and valuation policy reviews
• Ensure compliance with SEC Rule 2a-5 and other global valuation standards
• Partner with Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance, and external auditors on examinations and remediation
• Manage pricing and market data vendor relationships, due diligence, service reviews, performance monitoring, and pricing challenges
• Evaluate new data sources and technologies
• Drive pricing infrastructure, workflow, data management, automation, and straight-through processing improvements
• Partner with Technology and Product teams on pricing platforms, valuation tools, and reporting capabilities
• Establish and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics
• Lead, mentor, and develop pricing professionals and managers
• Build organizational capabilities through succession planning, talent development, and workforce management
• Establish performance objectives aligned with business priorities
• Develop stakeholder and client relationships across Fund Accounting, Portfolio Management, Risk Management, Product Development, Technology, Compliance, and external clients
• Communicate valuation impacts, pricing trends, and risk indicators to senior leadership and clients
• Support new business opportunities, client onboarding, and complex product launches

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in Security Pricing, Fund Accounting, Valuation, Market Data, or Asset Servicing
• Significant management experience leading pricing, valuation, or fund accounting teams
• Deep understanding of NAV production, valuation governance, and investment operations
• Strong knowledge of Fixed Income Valuation, Equity Pricing, Derivative Valuation, Fair Value Methodologies, Market Data Management, and Pricing Vendor Oversight
• Experience with major pricing providers such as ICE, Bloomberg, S&P Global, LSEG, PricingDirect, or similar
• Knowledge of accounting and regulatory frameworks governing investment funds
• Knowledge of FIS (InvestOne) and Multifonds accounting platforms a plus
