Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to lead a team of accountants and support staff in Tempe, AZ (and Milwaukee, WI). You will manage general ledger maintenance, daily NAV calculations, and reporting for mutual funds while ensuring GAAP compliance.

You’ll help prepare budgets and forecasts, resolve complex accounting issues, and collaborate with transfer agents, custodians, and administrators to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Five or more years of accounting/finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP and controls.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and ability to learn new systems.
• CPA and management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and records for mutual funds of varying complexity and produce end-of-day NAV.
• Prepare daily general ledger accounting, reconciliations, pricing analyses and postings.
• Collaborate with administrators, transfer agents, and prime brokers/custodians on compliance and financials.
• Assist with annual budget, monthly forecasts, and variance analyses; resolve accounting issues.
