Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Fund Accounting Director to oversee accounting services for multiple private equity sponsors. You will lead accounting teams, manage complex fund structures, and ensure accurate investor reporting with a client-focused approach.

The role offers hybrid work (3 days in office, 2 days remote), competitive base salary, and a discretionary performance bonus as part of a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day accounting and fund administration activities for multiple investment sponsors
• Lead fund accounting operations across private equity, credit, real estate, and alternative investment structures
• Prepare and review complex workpapers, accruals, investments, investor allocations, and financial statements
• Review financial statements and accompanying footnotes for accuracy and compliance
• Serve as primary relationship manager for clients and executive stakeholders
• Maintain strong working relationships with auditors, legal counsel, banking partners, and other external stakeholders
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop accounting professionals across multiple levels
• Oversee setup and administration of new fund launches and related deliverables
• Review and approve capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, IRR calculations, and investor reporting packages
• Interpret partnership agreements, investment agreements, and legal documentation
• Manage complex fund transactions and accounting issues
• Lead process improvement initiatives and special projects
• Ensure operational excellence, technical accuracy, and client satisfaction
• Support Managing Directors with escalated operational and client matters
• Drive adherence to company policies, procedures, and best practices
