Job summary

The Skills Coalition in Charlotte, NC seeks a Fund Accounting Associate to support financial reporting for private equity real estate funds. You will work with the Manager of Fund Accounting, Senior Director of Accounting, CFO, and leadership to deliver high-quality statements and data for investors.

You will coordinate with third-party fund administrators, auditors, and tax consultants, ensuring timely close processes, accurate accounting, and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business required.
• Master’s degree or CPA is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in a public or private mix.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review fund-level quarterly financial statements in line with GAAP and ILPA guidelines.
• Coordinate monthly close procedures with external fund administrator and accounting team.
• Review workpapers, fee calculations, waterfalls, and investor statements.
• Review secured debt quarterly compliance reports and facilitate annual audits.
• Maintain policies and procedures around financial reporting and internal controls.
