Job summary

The Bolton Group, a well-established, privately held real estate investment and development firm, seeks a Fund Accountant to join its growing accounting team in Charleston, SC. This role offers exposure to real estate and fund accounting across multiple investment entities.

Ideal candidates have 1.5–3 years of accounting experience, solid U.S. GAAP knowledge, and strong Excel skills. You will work closely with leadership to support accurate financial reporting and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 1.5–3 years of accounting experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple entities and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy under U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare financial statements, schedules, and workpapers for audits and fund reporting.
• Reconcile bank accounts, fixed assets, depreciation, and intercompany transactions.
• Support inter-entity reconciliations across property and fund entities.
• Collaborate with property/asset management to ensure timeliness of reporting.
• Document procedures and contribute to process improvements.
