Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Fund Accountant for a contract-to-hire opportunity in the Beaumont, TX area. You will support budgeting, financial reporting, payroll oversight, internal controls, audits, and operating accounting for a nonprofit with multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has accounting expertise, experience managing multiple funds and entities, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field with an accounting concentration.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting operations for multiple locations and funds.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Monitor general ledger activity and ensure accurate financial recordkeeping.
• Assist with budget preparation and provide ongoing budget-to-actual analysis.
• Perform account reconciliations, journal entry review, and financial analysis.
• Coordinate payroll-related activities and ensure proper remittance of payroll withholdings.
• Maintain vendor records, including 1099 reporting documentation.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping functions.
• Assist with audit preparation and liaison to external auditors.
• Support banking, treasury, and financial administration activities.
