Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Fund Accountant for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Beaumont, Texas. The role supports budgeting, financial reporting, payroll oversight, internal controls, audits, and operating accounting for a multi-site nonprofit.

The ideal candidate will manage multiple funds and locations, prepare monthly and annual reports, monitor general ledger activity, assist with audits, and collaborate with site leadership while ensuring GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field with an accounting concentration.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting operations for multiple locations and funds.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Monitor general ledger activity and ensure accurate financial recordkeeping.
• Assist with budget preparation and provide ongoing budget-to-actual analysis.
• Perform account reconciliations, journal entry review, and financial analysis.
• Coordinate payroll-related activities and ensure proper remittance of payroll withholdings.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping functions.
• Assist with audit preparation and serve as a liaison to external auditors.
• Support banking, treasury, and financial administration activities.
