Job summary

Investure, LLC is seeking a Fund Accountant to take ownership of the accounting and operations of the firm’s investment vehicles. You will report to the Fund Controller and collaborate with the accounting, treasury, and Fund Administrator teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient fund operations.

Based in Charlottesville, VA, the role offers a base salary in the $80,000–$90,000 range with potential merit-based bonuses and 401(k) contributions.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of professional accounting experience in investment management, fund accounting, or similar environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and ability to research and resolve discrepancies.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems; double-entry accounting is preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities; capable of meeting tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for Investure’s fund vehicles.
• Prepare, review, and post investment transactions in Investure’s accounting system.
• Reconcile Investure’s records with Fund Administrator books; address discrepancies.
• Review market values and investigate unusual activity.
• Coordinate capital activity for Investure funds; maintain records and workpapers.
• Support reporting, audits, and fund-related accounting needs.
• Provide backup support to Client Accounting and Treasury functions.
