Job description

Job Summary

This professional will be an integral member of Investure’s Accounting and Treasury team. Reporting to the Fund Controller, the Fund Accountant will take meaningful ownership of the accounting and operations of Investure’s investment vehicles, with broad exposure to the full lifecycle of fund accounting, investment activity, valuations, financial reporting, and investor capital activity. The role offers the opportunity to build a strong understanding of institutional investment operations while taking increasing responsibility for key processes and deliverables. The Fund Accountant will collaborate closely with Investure’s Accounting and Treasury team, third-party Fund Administrator, investment managers, and other internal and external partners to drive accurate financial reporting, effective fund operations, and continuous improvement across Investure’s accounting processes.

The Company

Based in Charlottesville, Virginia, Investure was founded in 2003 to serve as the outsourced investment office to a select number of non-profit endowments and private foundations. Managing assets of approximately $22 billion as of January 2026, Investure is responsible for portfolio management, asset allocation, and manager selection investing across a number of asset classes, including fixed income and credit, global public equities, alternative investments (e.g., hedge funds, private equity, venture), and real assets. Investure has a fast-paced culture where there is a vast opportunity for learning and strong expectation of teamwork, collegiality, and integrity. We are a mission-driven organization that values continuous improvement, excellence, and employee engagement.

This is a full-time position with an anticipated starting annual base salary range of $80,000–$90,000 at the time of this posting. Annual salary is a part of Investure’s overall compensation and benefits package; full-time positions are typically eligible for discretionary components including merit-based performance bonus, portfolio bonus (based on firm performance), and employer 401(k) contribution, among other benefits such as group health insurance. The annual base salary range for this position is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in determining base salary include (but are not limited to) position responsibilities, individual education/qualifications, general and role-specific experience, knowledge, skills and other abilities, as well as internal equity, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

The position is based in-office with a remote option currently on Fridays. Investure will not sponsor H-1B or other employment-related visas for this position.
