Job summary

CSC is seeking an Associate Fund Accountant for a hybrid schedule in Livingston, NJ. The role involves maintaining accounting records, processing cash activity, and supporting investment accounting for assigned clients.

The position requires U.S. GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, XIRR), and experience with fund accounting systems such as Investran. Strong attention to detail and deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Accounting preferred or other degree with strong foundation in accounting principles through relevant coursework
• Experience in fund or partnership accounting and knowledge of U.S. GAAP is a plus
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, XIRR, named ranges)
• Experience with Investran or similar fund accounting systems is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accounting records, supporting schedules, and financial reports for assigned clients
• Process and reconcile cash activity, including journal entries and wire transfers
• Record and reconcile investment activity, including purchases/sales and interest accruals
• Prepare and maintain workpapers that reconcile and support the trial balance
• Prepare IRS Form 1099 in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Communicate with clients to obtain information and provide status updates
• Support the year-end audit process and SOC 1/SBA examinations
• Participate in projects to improve operational efficiency and automation
