Job summary

Abacus Group is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant for its Dallas, TX office on behalf of a global asset manager. The role focuses on fund accounting, cash activity entries, and GL reconciliations, with emphasis on NetSuite integration.

You will handle daily journal entries, bank reconciliations, wires, intercompany transfers, and fund revenue postings, while supporting CLO-related reconciliation and reporting automation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Public or combo accounting background.
• Fund accounting experience preferred.
• CPA strongly preferred; NetSuite proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Record journal entries for daily cash activities and keep cash balances up to date.
• Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations.
• Produce and process wires and intercompany book transfers.
• Complete detailed reconciliations and provide flux explanations of GL accounts.
• Communicate with IT regarding fixed assets and maintain FAM within NetSuite.
• Post revenues, GP investment MTM, capital calls, and distributions for funds.
• Assist with CLO quarterly dividend and income reconciliation and reporting automation.
• Maintain monthly/quarterly AUM and non-fee-paying AUM; manage placement fees and rebates.

Responsibilities

• Record journal entries for daily cash activities to ensure cash balances are up to date
• Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations
• Produce and process wires and intercompany book transfers
• Complete detailed reconciliations and provide flux explanations of general ledger accounts
• Communicate with IT regarding fixed assets and maintain FAM within NetSuite
• Post underlying fund revenues and GP investment MTM, capital calls, and distributions
• Assist with CLO quarterly dividend and income reconciliation and reporting automation
• Maintain monthly and quarterly AUM as well as non-fee-paying AUM
• Handle placement fees, as well as rebate wires and postings
• Understand ASC 842 lease accounting and applicable journal entries to record
