Job summary

Trigyn Technologies, Inc. in Albany, NY is seeking a seasoned Functional Analyst to support a direct government client. You will perform and document functional analysis, lead business requirements elicitation, and coordinate testing of new and existing systems.

The role requires guiding large teams, developing system artifacts such as Use Cases, BRDs, and Test Plans, and mentoring staff on best practices. On-site position with standard security compliance.

Qualifications

• Analyzes an organization or business domain and documents its processes, systems or business model.
• Guides large teams and senior stakeholders on requirements and analysis deliverables.
• Extensive experience producing Use Cases, BRDs, Test Plans and Test Cases.
• Strong testing skills including test data, test plans, and defect logging.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional analysis of existing and new systems and document results.
• Lead requirements elicitation and manage documentation output.
• Test new or updated systems and validate changes.
• Develop and maintain Business and System Use Cases and BRDs.

Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for Functional Analyst in Albany, NY.

Description

• Performing and documenting functional analysis of existing and potential new systems
• Leading Business requirements elicitation efforts, documenting and managing results
• Testing new systems or fixes and updates to the existing systems
• Evaluating existing systems and any existing documentation to develop Business and System Use Cases
• Documenting Business and System Use Cases, Business Requirements documents, Test Plans, Test cases
• Mentoring staff on the creation of system artifacts including but not limited to; Business and System Use Cases, Business Requirements documents, Test Plans, Test Cases.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Analyzes an organization or business domain (real or hypothetical) and documents its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology with distinct deliverables to a solution.
• Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
• 84 months experience performing functional analysis for a new or existing system on a project where Business Analysis methodologies were incorporated and system artifacts were produced (Business/System Use cases, Business Requirements documents, Test plans, Test cases, etc.).
• 84 Months experience serving in a functional lead capacity performing tasks such as: Guiding groups to gather and document requirements, Monitoring project timelines and deliverables to endure on-time delivery, prioritizing user requirements, writing reports, documenting and presenting analyses, project status, risks and issues for project stakeholders
• 60 Months of experience working as a functional analyst in a Project in the public sector.
• 84 months experience performing testing activities including: Creating test data, Writing SQL queries, executing test plans for new systems or changes to existing systems, Reviewing test results, Logging defects, Packaging and presenting test results to project stakeholders, Obtaining stakeholder approval
• 72 months experience using IBM mainframe to review test results, including TSO and FileMaster.
